Dr. Charles Boulet obtained a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta before completing his Doctor of Optometry at Pacific University. Dr. Boulet is dedicated to continuing education and actively engages in online research and writing on vision rehabilitation and related topics. He also shares his knowledge by teaching Occupational Therapists about vision rehabilitation, drawing from his extensive experience in rehab and management of visual dysfunction. Dr. Boulet holds an Advanced Skills certificate from the Alberta College of Optometry and has a background in IT, allowing him to offer innovative solutions. As a member of the Alberta College of Optometry, he stays up to date with industry standards and advancements.
Dr. Boulet finds fulfillment in making a real impact on his patients’ lives and takes joy in helping them achieve their goals. He values human connections and appreciates the exceptional qualities of his team at the practice, who prioritize professionalism, amiability, and efficiency.
Based in South Calgary, Dr. Boulet enjoys photography, music, hiking, horology, and community arts engagement, alongside his Miniature Schnauzer, Thomas. He strongly believes in fostering genuine connections and considers his role as an optometrist a trusted position to positively influence patients’ well-being and vision health.
Dr. Steven Ha was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science with Honours in Ophthalmic Medical Technology in 2014. He trained at the University of Ottawa Eye Institute and worked as a Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist in the laser and refractive surgery field before completing his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo.
Dr. Ha has special interests in dry eye, specialty contact lenses, and myopia control. He participated in a mission trip to Camaná, Peru, and hopes to continue pursuing humanitarian endeavors throughout his career.
Dr. Ha was introduced to Western Canada by his wife, who grew up between Regina and Calgary. He, his wife, and their son now call Lethbridge home. He enjoys running, hiking, digital entertainment, artisan baking, cooking, and horticulture. Dr. Ha also serves as a volunteer board member with Economic Development Lethbridge, representing the Health and Wellness sector.
Dr. Miryam Almahfoud is a dedicated optometrist who is passionate about helping patients protect their vision and maintain long-term eye health through personalized, comprehensive care. She strives to ensure every patient feels comfortable, informed, and confident in their eye health decisions.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Calgary and completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo, graduating with distinction. Since beginning her practice in August 2025, Dr. Almahfoud has been actively engaged in continuing education, keeping current with evolving research and clinical guidelines to provide high-quality, evidence-based care.
Dr. Almahfoud enjoys building strong relationships with her patients and takes a collaborative approach to care, emphasizing education and clear communication. Her goal is to involve patients in their care and empower them to make informed decisions about their eye health.
She is a proud member of the Alberta Association of Optometrists and values being part of a welcoming and professional team that prioritizes excellent patient experiences. Originally from Toronto and raised in Calgary, Dr. Almahfoud enjoys staying active, spending time with family and friends, and giving back to the community, including past volunteer work with Canadian Blood Services.
